Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include a valid driver’s license in the job state.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• On-site facilities may be limited (portable toilets and rustic guard shacks).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; criminal histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Tue 04:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 04:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Manage access control activities by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and communicating access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, and communications equipment, documenting observations and preparing clear incident reports as required.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security‑related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Possess customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
