Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Kutztown, PA. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $16.33 per hour. The position requires at least one year of security experience, comfort with computers/tablets, and a background in customer service. Eligibility includes a high school diploma and background check.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Kutztown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Security Experience:

• Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115). This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security-related tasks and responsibilities effectively.

Technical Proficiency:

• Applicants must be comfortable using computers or tablets (B204). Proficiency in basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms is essential for the role.

Customer Service Experience:

• A background in customer service (B219) is required. Candidates should have experience in interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, and providing support in a professional manner.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
