As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Customer Service Patrol Driver in Kutztown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

• Valid Driver's LicenseAll candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

• Comfortable Using Computer or TabletCandidates must demonstrate proficiency in using a computer or tablet (B204). This includes familiarity with basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms effectively.

• Customer Service ExperienceCandidates should have prior customer service experience (B219). This experience is crucial for roles that involve direct interaction with clients and customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and/or students while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor check-in procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence and adherence to established post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
