Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Route Patrol in Carleton, MI. This role offers flexible hours and opportunities to grow into full-time positions within a leading security provider.

You will perform fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts, support a welcoming site environment, and ensure safety through patrols, access control, and incident response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as required by policy.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Background investigations as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, property concerns, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, employees, and first responders while supporting a welcoming environment and adherence to site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Route Patrol in Carleton, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
