Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the location including interiors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, deter unauthorized access with a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol observations and security concerns accurately per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Customer Service in Carleton, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the technology, media, and telecommunications location, including building interiors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access through a visible professional presence.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.


• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
