How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and retail associates while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
