Pay Rate: $26.52 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and government facility stakeholders while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor activity, incidents, and observed conditions in required reports.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security‑related experience are required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
