As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems Operator in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry to authorized areas throughout the logistics and distribution location.
• Observe vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery activity at gates and access points; communicate access concerns, policy violations, and unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
