Allied Universal® in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Screen Equipment Operator to support our clients with reliable, flexible hours. The role offers a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The position pays $17.39 per hour, with daytime hours set 06:00–14:00. Eligible candidates must be at least 21, have a high school diploma, and pass background and drug screenings as required by law.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Equipment Operator in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.39 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and authorized property entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with established screening procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, damaged seals, and other security‑related concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and document observations and actions in required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, dock doors, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
