Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Security in Houston, TX. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings, ideal for building experience while maintaining flexibility.

Pay rate is $15.50 per hour, with a Saturday/Sunday morning schedule and opportunities to grow into a fuller schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate entry and departure records.
• Receive calls, greet guests, direct individuals to appropriate contacts, and communicate visitor activity to designated site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain front-desk logs, report unusual activity or access concerns, and support a professional, orderly reception area.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Security in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
