Allied Universal, a leader in security and facilities services, invites applications for a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time position in Kansas City, MO. This role offers flexible, reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $20.00 per hour, with a schedule including Tue/Wed/Sat overnights. The role emphasizes fixed anchor shifts and the option to claim extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site- specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with the enforcement of property access procedures and reporting unauthorized entry attempts.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications accurately and promptly.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
