This role offers a fixed anchor shift on Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 06:30 PM, with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. Pay rate is $19.17 per hour, and applicants must meet minimum requirements including age and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with access‑control requirements; verify credentials and direct individuals to entry points.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of bags, parcels, and other items according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate logs of visitor activity, screening results, incidents, and other required security‑related documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Assessment in Kansas City, KS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts": You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
