Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time for Moncks Corner, SC. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and options to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service, perform site-specific security procedures, and respond to incidents professionally. A high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and age requirements apply; driving license only for driving posts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Help deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting of suspicious activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Pay Rate

$17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon 11:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Tue 11:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Wed 11:30 AM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
