Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Enhanced Security Officer in Charleston, SC. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and the ability to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings, while maintaining reliable hours at an assigned site.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, answering incoming calls, and directing guests to appropriate offices within a financial institution location.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying visitor credentials, following site-specific entry procedures, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Support security-related procedures by observing front desk activity, reporting unusual conditions, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, client personnel, and emergency responders as needed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Access in Charleston, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.94 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
