Allied Universal in Hereford, TX is seeking a part-time enhanced Security Officer to provide reliable coverage at a designated site with a fixed weekly shift and opportunities to pick up extra assignments through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security‑related procedures at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols across production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain logs of entries, exits, and incidents.
• Observe and report unusual conditions and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs for entries, exits, and security‑related incidents.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, facility hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
