• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Help deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and disturbances through visible presence, routine patrols, and professional interaction with customers, visitors, and store personnel.
• Monitor access points, observe on-site conditions, and communicate with management and/or first responders as needed regarding security-related incidents or operational concerns.

The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. This role is based in Houston, TX and designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts when available.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sunday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
