Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols in the retail location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site contacts or leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and in accordance with site procedures and document actions taken.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and customer service needs in a high-traffic retail environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Operations in Pico Rivera, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, receiving zones, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazardous conditions, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting observations and actions taken.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence in a high-traffic retail environment.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
