Job summary

All Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Playa Vista, CA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to claim additional shifts via our scheduling platform to boost earnings, designed for flexible, reliable part-time work.

Pay rate is $19.50 per hour, with a commitment to a designated site for six months and opportunities to scale up to a full-time schedule as needed.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Playa Vista, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious activity, property concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
