Allied Universal, Plano, TX, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Courtesy to provide dependable, flexible hours at an assigned site and potential for additional shifts. The role offers a base schedule with the option to pick up more shifts via our platform, supporting up to 40 hours per week when needed.

Pay rate is $19.25 per hour. Minimum requirements include at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma, and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of loading areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and support the orderly movement of authorized personnel and deliveries.
• Document observations and incidents per site procedures and report to Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Courtesy in Plano, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

DayTimeSun07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support the orderly movement of authorized personnel, vehicles, packages, and deliveries throughout the logistics and distribution location.
• Document observations, incidents, and security‑related activities in accordance with site procedures and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
