Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Awareness in Suffolk, VA. The role offers reliable, fixed anchors with the option to pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform, and pay rate of $15.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Report observed hazards, unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Awareness in Suffolk, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
