Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a production or distribution location while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, professional action and notify site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized access and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs.
• Observe deliveries and shipments, report unusual conditions, and support orderly access for personnel and vehicles.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Foot Patrol in Williamsburg, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage production or distribution location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe delivery and shipment activity, report unusual conditions, and support orderly access for personnel and vehicles entering or leaving the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
