Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Control in West Hazleton, PA. You’ll provide security procedures, monitor access points, and assist with incident response while benefiting from flexible part-time shifts and opportunities for growth.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour with anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to operate access control and badge management systems.

• CPR certification is preferred or required.
• Basic loss prevention knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points and parking areas.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations to leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Control in West Hazleton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

  • Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to use identification badges for secure entry into company premises.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

  • Candidates should possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using tablets or similar devices. Proficiency in navigating software applications relevant to the job role is essential.

• CPR Certification (B205)

  • Candidates must hold a valid CPR certification. This certification should be current and recognized by a reputable organization. Proof of certification must be submitted prior to the start date.

• Loss Prevention (B210)

  • Candidates should have a basic understanding of loss prevention strategies and practices. Experience in retail or security environments is preferred but not mandatory.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
