Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Control in Dallas, TX. This role offers fixed shifts with optional extra shifts to increase earnings, and a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

You will perform access control, patrols, and incident response at an assigned site. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of security experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work 18+ or 21+ depending on role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in compliance with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, visitors, tenants, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, medical situations, and other critical events calmly and follow protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of educational and commercial facilities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry, and report concerns to site contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols and actions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Control in Dallas, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, visitors, tenants, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of educational and commercial real estate facilities, including buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
