Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Sumter, SC. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns; report observations to site contacts or management.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and maintaining an orderly customer environment during routine operations and events.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Sumter, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:30 PM – 11:30 PMSun12:00 PM – 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential loss‑prevention concerns, and report observations to appropriate site contacts and/or management.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and maintaining an orderly customer environment during routine operations, peak shopping periods, and special events.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
