Job summary

Allied Universal in Grants, NM is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol to provide reliable security at a utility and energy operations site. You will perform access control, respond to incidents, and conduct regular patrols to maintain a safe environment.

This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, supporting flexible hours and opportunities to advance toward a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a utility and energy operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual conditions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of operational areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with visitor and contractor access in accordance with site policies.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly, while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Grants, NM, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
