As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver, you will support site-specific procedures, access control, and emergency response activities at a government location, while working up to 40 hours per week when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Valid driver's license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Be 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) depending on role.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain logs and reports.
• Report hazards or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Downey, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by observing and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
