Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures and response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate per established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parks, facilities, trails, parking areas, buildings, and surrounding perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, provide directions and information to visitors, and report observed maintenance or safety concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and related observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Sewell, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri12:15 PM - 06:30 PM

Sat12:15 PM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and community members by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parks, recreational facilities, trails, parking areas, buildings, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, provide directions and information to visitors, and report observed maintenance, lighting, or property concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
