Qualifications

• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff at the front desk.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, maintain logs, issue temporary access credentials, and direct guests.
• Answer calls, receive deliveries, communicate routine information to occupants, and maintain a welcoming front desk presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities.
• Monitor lobby activity and deter unauthorized access to the property.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Intake in Detroit, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

DayTimeThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at the front desk.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and direct guests in accordance with property policies.
• Answer incoming calls, receive deliveries, communicate routine information to building occupants, and maintain a professional, welcoming front-desk presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Monitor lobby and entrance activity, report suspicious or unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access to the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
