Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced (Part Time) for a Nashville hospital location. This role offers reliable, flexible hours with anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on security experience.

The position emphasizes patient, visitor, and staff safety, with responsibilities including incident response, patrols, access control, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in and around a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned hospital areas, including entrances, public spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and direction of individuals to appropriate areas of the facility.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and facility personnel.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in and around a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
