Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Greeter in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.44 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat: 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun: 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a front desk location within a media and technology environment by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials, maintain visitor records, and communicate access requirements in a professional and courteous manner.
• Monitor entry activity, receive and route calls or deliveries, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.
• Maintain an organized front desk area and complete required logs, reports, and other administrative documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
