Allied Universal in Charleston, SC is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk to welcome visitors, answer inquiries, and enforce site access procedures at a financial institution location.

Fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform provide reliable hours and the potential to increase earnings, while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed) and have HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors at the front desk and assist with inquiries at a financial institution site.
• Monitor entry, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials and maintain logs.
• Answer calls, receive deliveries, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors.
• Respond to incidents calmly following emergency procedures and report concerns.
• Observe activity and report suspicious behavior to Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk in Charleston, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.94 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ('Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, assisting with inquiries, and following site-specific access procedures for a financial institution location.
• Monitor visitor entry, verify identification and appointments as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Answer and route incoming calls, receive deliveries, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and/or emergency personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established emergency response procedures.
• Observe front desk activity and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
