Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time at West Columbia, SC. This flexible, dependable role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to boost earnings.

Pay rate $16.50 per hour, daytime schedule Saturday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This position supports client sites with security procedures, incident response, and patrols, with opportunities to grow into a full-time role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed) and possess valid driver’s license for driving roles.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery traffic per site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports and share information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in West Columbia, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery traffic in accordance with site‑specific entry and exit procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
