As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Welcome Desk in Charleston, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

Day / Time: Fri 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next – it’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by following site‑specific procedures and Allied Universal standards for a financial institution location.
• Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify identification and access permissions, and document visitor and delivery information in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Support security‑related operations by answering questions, directing guests, managing incoming calls, and reporting suspicious behavior or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and other assigned documentation while maintaining awareness of front desk activity and access control needs.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
