• Conduct regular patrols of residential common areas, parking, entrances, and perimeters.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, and law enforcement per procedures.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help to deter unauthorized entry into the residential location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations; document observations and report security‑related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, property staff, and law enforcement personnel while following Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
