As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Documentation in Kutztown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.80 / Hour

Valid Driver's License

• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AUS Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for positions that require travel or the operation of company vehicles.

Comfort with Technology

• Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes familiarity with basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms effectively.

Customer Service Experience

• Previous customer service experience is highly desirable. Candidates should be able to showcase their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
