Allied Universal in Kutztown, PA is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced with driver patrol responsibilities. This role offers flexible hours, opportunities to pick-up shifts, and a pathway toward full-time roles within the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Customer Assistance in Kutztown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.80 / Hour

• Valid Driver's License:
  • All candidates must possess a valid AUS driver's license in accordance with the AUS Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using computers or tablets. Familiarity with relevant software applications and tools is highly desirable, as it is essential for effective communication and task execution within the company.
• Customer Service Experience:
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred for positions that involve direct interaction with clients or customers. Candidates should be able to showcase their ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an industrial campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production‑related areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
