Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Identity Authentication in Topton, PA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts using our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

The position pays $17.00 per hour and requires at least one year of security experience and a valid driver’s license. The schedule includes Saturday shifts with commitment to a site for six months, plus overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed) and able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-specific access control for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, log visitors, and direct authorized individuals.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, timely manner and notify site contacts or responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities and incidents in clear reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Identity Authentication in Topton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Security Experience:
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience prior to employment. This experience should be verifiable and relevant to the position for which the candidate is applying.
• Valid Driver's License
  • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals according to established site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document daily activities, access‑control events, incidents, and irregular conditions in clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
