Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of facility access points, perimeters, parking areas, and grounds to identify unusual activity or unauthorized entry.
• Document incidents and shift activities in clear reports while maintaining confidentiality.

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Security Experience:
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience prior to employment. This experience should be verifiable and relevant to the position for which the candidate is applying.
• Valid Driver's License
  • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue appropriate access materials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized entry, or security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and shift activities in clear reports while maintaining confidentiality and following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
