Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation is required by law.
• Criminal histories may be considered under applicable laws.
• Drug screen is required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit at assigned access points by verifying credentials, authorizations, visitor documentation, and delivery access per site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover visitor or contractor badges, and report access discrepancies to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency and reporting procedures.
• Conduct patrols of assigned areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Checkpoint in Point Comfort, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit at assigned access points by verifying credentials, authorizations, visitor documentation, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover visitor or contractor badges as authorized, and report access discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned chemical and petrochemical facility areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
