Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Point Comfort, TX. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The position requires a TSA-issued TWIC, a high school diploma or equivalent, and baseline background checks. The schedule currently includes Saturdays 12:00 PM–08:00 PM with potential for growth.

• Background checks and drug screening may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-specific access-control procedures and visitor management.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify IDs and issue/recover credentials.

• Respond to incidents calmly following site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Point Comfort, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, visitor management requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue and recover visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Screen personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies, escalating unauthorized access attempts or irregularities through established reporting channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency and security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
