Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced at a luxury retail site in Minneapolis, MN. The role provides flexible fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, and it offers reliable hours while supporting a path toward a full-time schedule.

You will deliver customer service, perform security procedures, patrol assigned areas, and respond calmly to incidents.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by laws.
• Drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the site, including sales areas and entrances.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, and hazards to site contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and following site protocols.
• Assist customers and staff with directions and general inquiries to maintain a welcoming environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Customer Service in Minneapolis, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sat 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sun 11:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter spaces, as assigned.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while following established site protocols.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by assisting customers and staff with directions, access‑related needs, and general inquiries.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
