Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver in Maple Grove, MN. This role provides fixed hours with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.60 per hour. The position features a fixed-shift anchor at a designated site with a six-month commitment, plus an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program to take extra shifts across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unusual conditions or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Job Schedule

• Friday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
