Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced (Part Time) for bicycle perimeter patrol at a Philadelphia, PA site. This flexible role provides reliable hours and opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts across sites.

Paid at $17.75 per hour, with fixed anchor shifts and a program to claim extra shifts through our scheduling platform. Candidates need security experience, a high school diploma, and must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Bicycle Perimeter Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, providing general information, and reporting access‑control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns with supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
