Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Check Patrol in Albuquerque, NM. You will work fixed shifts at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, increasing earnings while building experience across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access by observing entry/exit, verifying credentials, and documenting activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following site procedures.
• Prepare reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols and concerns.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and daily activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
