As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Driver Credential in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and/or contractor documentation in accordance with established entry procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, key, and/or access records; issue and retrieve authorized credentials as directed by site policies.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
