As a Security Officer Part Time Airport Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals, belongings, and approved items using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; report prohibited or suspicious items and activities to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, appointments, and authorization for entry in accordance with site requirements; maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify emergency services and site contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, screening areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years of security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
