Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Signal Triage in Washington, DC. Earn $25.25/hour with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up extra shifts through our platform, designed for flexibility and supplemental income.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Loss prevention and alarm panel experience are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A background check and drug screen will be conducted as per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor building access points, visitor activity, and common areas; maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, key and credential procedures, and tenant service requests while maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Signal Triage in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor building access points, visitor activity, and common areas; maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, key and credential procedures, and tenant service requests while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security‑related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
