Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Patrol in Herndon, VA. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.05 per hour with a part-time schedule that includes day and overnight shifts. Candidates should have a HS diploma and be eligible for a background check; prior alarm panel and access-control experience is preferred.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly per post orders.
• Prepare activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation for site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Patrol in Herndon, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; document and report access‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
