Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Lakeland, FL. This role offers fixed evening shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, at an assigned site with reliable hours.

You will provide customer service, monitor access, respond to incidents, and patrol premises, supporting a safe and efficient workplace while earning $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation may be required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor/driver entry, and maintain access-control records.
• Respond to incidents and ensure proper documentation of activities per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with warehouse personnel, delivery drivers, and visitors to support smooth flow of people and vehicles.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Operations in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sun: 06:00 PM - 11:59 PM.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver entry, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with warehouse personnel, delivery drivers, and visitors while supporting the orderly flow of people and vehicles through the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
