Allied Universal, the leading security and facilities services company, invites you to join as a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in Chattanooga, TN. You will work a fixed anchor shift with six-month commitment, and have the option to pick additional shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings, across multiple sites.

This role emphasizes customer service, access control, and incident response while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/localities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, donors, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response actions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate observations to leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Monitoring in Chattanooga, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:00 AM - 01:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, donors, visitors, and staff while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
